JARC’s Mechanical Assembly program is designed to equip trainees with the foundational skills required for entry-level positions in Mechanical Assembly. This hands-on program covers everything you need to know, from interpreting blueprints and mastering shop math to effectively using hand and power tools. You’ll dive into metrology and essential shop safety practices, all while collaborating on real-world projects in team settings. Emphasis is placed on rigorous safety standards to ensure you’re well-prepared to handle equipment confidently and safely.

  • Location: Chicago – Austin
  • Language: Spanish
  • Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  • Classes: Open enrollment / Open exit

Earn valuable industry credentials through the Society of Manufacturing Engineer, such as Manufacturing Associates Credential

Get OSHA Safety Certified!

In JARC, you will earn your OSHA 10 HR (General Industry) safety certification and enhance your workplace safety skills

Who can apply?

  • Unemployed adults and low-income job seekers
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Open to individuals with arrest or conviction records
  • Note: Training is not available for those with a history of sexual offenses

  • Use hand tools, fasteners, torque tools and power tools
  • Understand blueprints
  • Understand basic shop safety
