Job Training Programs on Chicago’s West Side

JARC offers free job training programs in Chicago designed for adults looking to build real skills and access new career opportunities. Our training centers serves communities across the West Side, including North Lawndale, Garfield Park and Austin, providing hands-on instruction and support services in welding and CNC machining.

Our workforce development programs focus on creating pathways to entry-level jobs in manufacturing and skilled trades. With industry-aligned training and support, you can gain the experience needed to access real job opportunities.

Our Programs

Our Chicago location offers hands-on training programs designed to prepare students for careers in manufacturing and technical industries.

Computer Numerical Control (CNC)

Find a space that suitsLearn to program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machine tools with hands-on training that opens doors to exciting opportunities!

Manufacturing Bridge Program

Learn high-quality remedial skills tailored for the manufacturing industry and prepare for advanced training programs like CNC or Welding.

Welding Fast Track Program

Master Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW or “MIG”) and other key manufacturing techniques with hands-on training, and unlock exciting career opportunities!

Adult Learners Program and Services (ALPS)

Offers one-on-one and small group tutoring in reading, writing, math, English as a Second Language (ESL), GED preparation, and computer skills.

Looking for a career in Welding or CNC Machining on the West Side of Chicago?

JARC has two training centers located near the Austin, Garfield Park, and North Lawndale communities, making our programs easily accessible for residents on the West Side. We also have one additional training center on the North Side, located in the Ravenswood area.

We provide hands-on training opportunities for adults with no prior experience. Our programs are designed to help you build the skills you need and successfully transition from training into entry-level jobs in manufacturing and skilled trades.
